Our clients in Haslemere, Jonathan and Catherine, came to us for a bespoke kitchen as they wanted to replace their existing kitchen and create a space that felt luxurious. The specification of this kitchen was the very best, from the handmade in-frame cabinetry with antique brass butt hinges, solid oak dovetail drawer boxes to the appliances - no expense was spared.
We managed the project from start to finish working alongside our builder, Chris Lillywhite at CRL Developments who removed the existing kitchen, put in new electrics where required, re-plastered and then re-decorated.
The design was based around the island. It was important to Jonathan and Catherine that they had island seating but also wanted to cook on the island rather than facing a wall when entertaining.
For this luxurious kitchen we chose top of the range appliances. The Bora hobs and Tepan Yaki with 2 x downdraft vents and Miele ovens. The Quooker boiling tap in patinated brass slowly changes colour, turning lighter or darker brown in different spots as it gets used over time. This natural process means the tap is not only a practical kitchen tool but becomes more beautiful over time.
The ovens were located on one wall allowing good put down to one side, with the fridge and larders on the side wall for dry and cold food storage. The sink is opposite the hob so it is easily accessible whilst cooking.
With the use of dark colours, stained oak island cabinets, worktop and beautiful quartzite marble we were able to make the kitchen very dramatic. Even the bespoke hand made handles were specifically chosen for this project along with the stools for the working area.
