Our clients in Chiddingfold, Surrey asked us to design this contemporary in-frame kitchen into the newly converted part of their stunning old manor house. The original kitchen was located at the end of the house, this didn't work practically for how they wanted to be able to live and use their home. The solution was to build a new larger space, much closer to the front of the house and transform the old kitchen in to the perfect drawing room.
The kitchen design needed to be sociable and work well ergonomically for preparing, cooking and eating family meals as well as entertaining and relaxing.
The style was to be clean, crisp lines with a classic twist. By having the simple framed shaker doors with stunning polished nickel Armac Martin handles we created a modern look on a traditional style. Exactly the look our client wanted.
We were keen to ensure the island would be big enough to have enough work surface for a few chefs but also allow us to bring a table off the side to seat at least 6. This is a very sociable, practical and stylish dining space.
The mix of wood on the table and off-white quartz worktop create a great contrast with the dark blue island. Combined with the off-white cabinets around the room create the perfect calm and soft back drop.
With state of the art appliances and effective lighting this kitchen ticks all the boxes and creates the best balance of all aspects of kitchen design everyone wants!
