We loved working with our client on their bespoke kitchen project. Their cottage is set on Three Gates Lane over looking the Surrey Downs and a perfect spot with fantastic views over the countryside…… but not from the kitchen!
Our designer Kahren, worked closely with one of our recommended builders to manage the project from design concept through to completion.
We developed the idea of having the sitting room and kitchen opened up to be one big room so you can enjoy a more social, open plan experience with views out to the Downs whilst enjoying a drink and preparing a meal.
The brief was to keep the style classic but not too fussy and of course give it a ‘wow’ factor.
Our builder knocked through the space with a supporting beam, repositioned the boiler and made the doors out to the garden bigger and better and laid a stunning new Oak floor though-out.
We installed a shaker design kitchen painted in Farrow & Ball Stoney Ground & Mouses Back on Island. The island’s worktop was made of both granite and wood. This separated the cooking and social aspect of the island and also gave more of a natural, warm feel to the island. The worktop on the main section was white quartz – Cimstone Arcadia.
The key was to ensure there was as much storage as possible and our love for Islands and larders is evident with this design with 2 larders and an island that can be used for cooking, eating and entertaining.
With the oak floor and light coloured walls we created a perfect, tranquil space for our client to enjoy with her family for years to come and we hope you like it too.
