We were fortunate to meet Nicholas and Jane just after lockdown. They had purchased a property on the outskirts of Petworth and were building a new home on the land, they were brimming with ideas for their bespoke kitchen.
As we delved into the design process, it became clear that the heart of their home -the kitchen - needed to be both functional and aesthetically pleasing. We worked collaboratively, refining the layout until we achieved the perfect balance of style and practicality.
Central to their kitchen's design was the incorporation of an EverHot cooker, centred on the back wall with its own mantle extractor design. This is complemented by built-in fridge and freezer units, ovens, and a generously sized ceramic under-mounted sink. This layout not only optimised the space but also ensured a cohesive flow throughout the room.
For Nicholas and Jane, it was essential to infuse classic charm into their kitchen's cabinetry. We opted for shaker doors, painted in Farrow & Ball Drop Cloth, adorned with timeless antique brass handles, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. To complement this classic look, brass taps were selected, along with a soft white and grey Cullifords quartz adding a touch of elegance to the space.
One of the standout features of the kitchen was the bi-fold bar design, positioned at the opposite end of the room. To create a 'wow' factor, we incorporated a blend of mirror and glass shelves, unveiling an illuminated bar area complete with its own sink. This unique feature not only added a touch of luxury but also served as a focal point for entertaining guests.
Working alongside Nicholas and Jane was a pleasure from start to finish. With their personal furnishings enhancing the space, the kitchen truly came to life, resulting in a stunning and functional kitchen that exceeded expectations.
