Contemporary Family Kitchen - Witley, Surrey

For this striking new build in Witley, the owners, Will and Anne-Elise, had a clear vision - an open-plan contemporary family kitchen that would be the heart of their home. A space where family, entertaining, and everyday life would come together seamlessly. Over the course of the build, Charter Walk worked closely with them to create a kitchen that blends contemporary kitchen design with warm, welcoming touches.

The foundation of the design is a sleek, handleless Beeck kitchen in Agave - a beautifully muted green that feels both fresh and timeless. Crafted with precision, the German-engineered cabinetry ensures both durability and quality. Oak carcasses and drawer boxes have been chosen to bring warmth and softness, perfectly complementing the long oak shelf above the worktop, which adds both practicality and a stylish display space.

With a big family to cater for, practicality was just as important as aesthetics. Inside a spacious larder cupboard, everything is neatly stored, with built-in oak spice racks making organisation effortless. Beneath the clean lines of the cabinetry, deep pan drawers offer easy access to essentials, ensuring a clutter-free space. The Fisher & Paykel freestanding fridge provides generous storage, making it ideal for a busy household.

Lighting plays a key role in enhancing both function and atmosphere. Under worktop lighting highlights the beautiful 20mm marble quartz worktops, creating a soft, inviting glow in the evenings. Above, pendant lights add character and warmth, complementing the earthy green cabinetry and leather bar stools.

Central to the kitchen design is a generous island, perfect for gathering with family and friends. A built-in wine fridge ensures that a perfectly chilled bottle is always within reach, while a Quooker tap adds convenience with instant boiled water. Siemens appliances are seamlessly integrated, making cooking and entertaining effortless.
